We love how our small business has the opportunity to be part of so many local communities. We've brought our demonstration chickens to local events like Peanut Butter & Jam in Merriam Park, the Frogtown Farm Festival and the Hamline Midway Spring Festival. We've made cheese at our local Bastille Day celebration on the corner of Selby@Snelling, and helped kids make seed bombs at the Frogtown Farm Festival and the Pollinator Party at Lyndale Park in Minneapolis. We were honored to be asked twice to sponsor a demonstration backyard chicken coop at the Minnesota State Fair, and involved over 25 local chicken-keeper families with our education efforts there.
We are advocates for small retail businesses in the Twin Cities through our membership in MetroIBA, the Metro Independent Business Association, helping to promote and organize Plaid Friday Twin Cities, a grass roots alternative to big box Black Friday. We are also members of the Selby Snelling Business Associaton, and enthusiastic participants in local shopping events such as Shop by Candlelight and Bastille Day.
We are a sponsor of the Egg|Plant Edible Landscape Award as part the Blooming St. Paul Awards program through St. Paul Parks and Recreation.
Every year we also donate gift certificates, extra seeds and plants to many local organizations and community gardens.
